Pursuant to Neb. Rev. Stat. §32-1405.02 (Reissue 2016), two separate public hearings will be held, on Monday, October 19, 2020. One hearing is on Initiative Measure 428 (Payday Lending) beginning at 1:30 p.m. – 3:30 p.m. (CDT) and another on Initiative Measures 429, 430 and 431 (Games of Chance Constitutional Amendment, Regulatory and Tax ) 3:30 p.m. - 5:30 p.m. (CDT) at the Mid-Plains Community College South Campus, McDonald Belton Theatre, 601 West State Farm Road North Platte, NE 69101. Secretary of State Robert Evnen will conduct the hearings for the purpose of receiving comments from the public in support of or opposed to Initiative Measures 428, 429, 430 and 431 which will appear on the November 3, 2020 General Election Ballot. An agenda is available at the office of the Secretary of State for public inspection during regular business hours.
