Panelists are an integral part of our grant awarding process. When organizations apply for grants, the applications are evaluated and scored first by a staff member, then by an outside evaluator, and finally by our Deputy Director who makes the final funding decision. Each score plays an important role in the recommended funding, so again the outside evaluator is key to this process.
