The purpose of this hearing is to receive comments on proposed changes to Title 390, Chapter 1 – Juvenile Services and the adoption of the new Title 395 Chapter 2 – Disclosure of Information of the Nebraska Administrative Code (NAC). The proposed changes will update and simplify regulations regarding Juvenile Justice youth remaining in the custody of the Department, allow the Department to implement a fee to conduct Adult and Child Abuse and Neglect Central Registry checks pursuant to Legislative Bill 225 (2017), allow for increased information to be released to former wards, and establishes the requirements for the disclosure of child abuse and neglect central registry information.
