Answer: If you have lost your user name and password, you can be called back with the information once our office receives a fax on your letterhead authorizing us to release the user name and password over the phone. User names and passwords are not sent via fax or email due to security concerns. Please fax to: 402-471-7817.
Answer: The invoices sent out by our billing company do not give a breakdown of individual charges. You can always view your charges on line, once the billing has run, by logging into your account. Account Management can be found in the left hand menu.
If you would like to know more information on the charges, simply complete the "Client Information" box on every search you perform. This information will show on your online billing summary. (Example, you did a driver's license record search using the individual's number. If you enter the persons name in the optional client box, this information will appear on your online billing summary.)
To pull reports by "Client Memo," please visit the tutorials for Billing.
Answer: A $50 charge on your invoice is normally the annual renewable subscription fee. This fee is applied at the anniversary of your initial sign-on with Nebraska.gov. This fee allows your user name and password to remain active.
Answer: To update information on your account (i.e. contact person, billing information, mailing and phone changes); simply fax our Customer Service representative at 1-402-471-7817. This can be sent via fax. Charge card numbers are never released over the phone.
Answer: To add an additional user to your account or replace an existing user, you can either fax or mail the information on your company letterhead. If that individual needs to begin searches before the expected user name and password will arrive in the mail, simply include a note requesting the information be released over the phone. The new user name and password information will still be put in the mail to the contact person on the account.
Answer: You can change your password by simply visiting "Account Management" in the left-side menu, login, and click on your user name, highlighted and underlined in blue on the right side of the Dashboard. Please note, you MUST use a mixture of upper and lower case letters, and it must be a minimum of seven characters. If you do NOT follow that pattern, your account will not be accessible to you, and you will have to have us create a new password. (include your user name in a fax request on letterhead to 402-471-7817).
Answer: It is best have the contact person for your account notify Nebraska.gov either by a phone call or a simple fax on your company letterhead. If you have several users, it's wise to review the list occasionally should any employees terminate or search capabilities are no longer a part of their job.
Answer: You can receive a fax of any missed billings by contacting our Customer Service representative. It's most helpful to have your account number or user name available when requesting the information, and supply a current fax number to receive the information. The fax will be sent to you from our billing company. If you have any problems receiving the information, please contact Nebraska.gov.
Answer: Once a password has been given to a user, Nebraska.gov does not have access to it. You may want to ask other individuals in your business if they have the password written down. Nebraska.gov can assign the user a new password which is computer generated. Simply fax the request to a Customer Service representative at 402-471-7817 and they'll be happy to assist you.
Answer: To perform a UCC filing online, you must first receive authorization and approval from the Nebraska Secretary of State's Office - UCC Division. A Nebraska Secretary of State Uniform Commercial Code Division Electronic Filing Services Agreement must be completed and faxed or mailed to the Secretary of State's Office.
You can find this form at http://www.sos.state.ne.us/UCC/agreement3.pdf
You will be notified by Nebraska.gov when you receive approval. You can always check with the Secretary of State's Office on the status of your agreement. Their office phone and fax numbers are located on the top of the agreement form.
