Introduction to the System
Use this form to request subscription information.
Nebraska.gov is an information and communication system created to provide equal electronic access
for the citizens and businesses across Nebraska, to state, county, local, association and other public
information. As a State of Nebraska information service, Nebraska.gov operates under the authority
of the Nebraska State Records Board (NSRB) and network operations, including policies, services and
regulations, are governed by the NSRB.
Nebraska.gov relies on task forces comprised of state agencies, professional associations, businesses
and citizens to help establish interactive prices, determine policies, design interactive output and
determine interactive services.
A subscriber to Nebraska.gov pays a $50 annual fee. In addition, for certain state records, a transaction or record search fee is made.
These include such items as drivers license records, UCC records and court records. These fees are all approved by the
Nebraska State Records Board and are clearly identified on the Nebraska.gov menu.
Certain users of extremely large amounts of data can take advantage of high speed electronic "batch"
processing. Requesters of this data electronically transmit files to Nebraska.gov. These files are
then processed and sent back to the requesters where they can download processed files at their convenience.
Programming is in place to check files for errors to minimize "no hits". Turnaround time for processing
is improved, and administrative costs are reduced. Nebraska.gov bills monthly instead of daily, further
reducing administrative costs.
Subscribers can access Nebraska.gov 24 hours-a-day, 7 days-a-week. Each subscriber receives a user
manual and access to 1-800 technical support. Different levels of customer support are available 24
hours-a-day, 7 days-a-week.
Ninety percent of all services provided through Nebraska.gov are provided via connection to computers
where the data is maintained by the controlling agency. This insures the most current information possible.
The other ten percent are stored at Nebraska.gov and updated monthly, weekly, or daily by the data
owning agency or association.
Some of the services that Nebraska.gov offers are: Interactive Motor Vehicle
Records, Interactive Title Registration and Lien Records, Corporation Records, Letters of Good Standing,
UCC Searches, UCC Filings, Court Records and websites maintained by professional
associations for their members (such as insurance agents, attorneys, bankers, counties, cities, and others).
Nebraska.gov also provides an Internet gateway to resources made available by dozens of other state
agencies, state funded colleges, and universities, and other Nebraska World Wide Web services, including:
the Nebraska State Government Portal, with a wide range of state government resources; the Office of the
Governor Home Page, with news releases from the Governor's office, the "Dear Nebraska Neighbor" weekly
message from the Governor, and the Governor and Lieutenant Governors' weekly schedules, plus links to
local government sites in Nebraska and official websites of other states, and many, many more.
